RSE International Joint Projects

Closed
Last updated: 24/07/2025

RSE International Joint Projects aim to facilitate international collaboration between researchers based in Scotland and researchers overseas.

Applications for two-year joint projects are invited from Scotland-based researchers to include an overseas higher education institution, research institution, or cultural institution. The RSE provides between £3,000 – £12,000. The collaborating institution is expected to provide the equivalent level of funding.

There are two streams for International Joint Projects. Only stream one is open for the spring 2025 call.

Stream one is for applicants who wish to apply with a partner institute of their choice.
Stream two (not currently open) is for applicants who wish to apply in conjunction with a Sister Academy with which the RSE holds a Memorandum of Understanding.
