The North Craven Heritage Trust covers the area of North Craven in North Yorkshire. It was formed to foster interest in and care for the distinctive character and heritage of North Craven by:
* encouraging high standards of planning and architecture
* stimulating public interest in and care for the beauty, character and heritage of the area
* encouraging the preservation, protection and sympathetic development of features of historic or public interest.
The Trust provides grants to support:
* historic buildings or other structures in North Craven, that are not in private ownership, to fund essential restoration.
* historical and / or archaeological research in North Craven. These grants are intended for individual researchers or informal groups of individual researchers working collaboratively. Grants to established groups or societies may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
* MA (or PhD) students in a research project of relevance to the historic heritage of North Craven.
* cultural events or environmental developments specifically relevant to North Craven and which will take place within North Craven.
