FaRiG General Small Grants
Open
Last updated: 16/07/2025
FaRiG, a registered English charity founded in 2000 by John Wilkinson, gives grants to Georgian scholars living and working in Georgia for their research in the humanities and assists in the publication of the results outside Georgia. It provides annual research grants, an annual essay prize and some small grants.
FaRiG offers small grants (up to a maximum of £200 or equivalent) towards expenses incurred by Georgian scholars such as attending academic conferences, symposia, colloquia and other such international events (particularly when the scholar is delivering a paper or presentation or is a member of a panel). Such grants may be applied for any time and should be used to top up funding from other sources, eg. when scholars have won an overseas research scholarship.
